CIKA Saturday in Wales

Saturday the 11th March saw Instructors from Ruach travel down to Cardiff in Wales to train with CIKA Chief Instructor Sensei Junior Leferve. It was a dull day but a pleasant journey down the M5/M50 but the warm welcome we received from Sensei Roband the team more that made up for the rain. Saturday was a day of kata and we started with the usual warm up before embarking on kata Kanku Sho. Two hours of training took us through the application of speed and power coupled with the Bunkai. All the way through the kata Sensei Junior was pointing out what was acceptable in competition and what would cause you to loose points.

The second half of the day saw us with a Shitoryu kata Anan, which is a very popular kata in competition. Again training focussed on speed and correct technique to give you the winning edge. All in all it was a very successful day enjoyed by all who attended. Thank you Sensei Rob for the invite.
